Week 6: Day 7

cardio:
  • road run (@ 7am) = 3.61 miles, time = 38:21, pace @ 10:37
total weekly mileage: 6.29
total monthly mileage: 42.95
total shoe mileage: 349:39

How do you know when to replace a pair of running shoes? It should be either six months or between 350 to 550 miles, depending on the surface the runner is on, body weight, total weekly mileage and running style. My shoes are ten to eleven months old, but just now racked up 350 miles. I don't run very often or high weekly/monthly mileage. I'm not sure if I should get a new pair now or just add some inserts for the time being. I don't have any leg pains or noticeable discomforts, although I'm not sure if my mind is playing tricks on me or not because my shins has a very mild weird feeling. It's mildly noticeable when I'm tired. So I'm kinda at a loss on what I should do.
