I forgot to mention yesterday that I had planned to do the Firecracker 10K run and I didn't planned the Firecracker bike ride. I've done the Firecracker ride in previous years, but didn't this year because of personal reasons. I'll sign up for the ride next year. I've done better this time around. I haven't done a run at or close to 10 minutes a mile in awhile. I outran some kids who couldn't handle the hills (I eat hills for breakfast), but I think a mom with a stroller beat me. She ran downhill pretty easy because she had a stroller with a toddler pull her down the hill, making it easier for it (she struggled uphill) and I couldn't find her after I took some photos. I could have done better if I just kept going without stopping for pictures. If I can lose 30 pounds, I can run 10 minutes a mile more easily without any effort.
Next event? I'm not sure yet. In the meantime, I can go back to running for fun and doing whatever I feel like doing.
