About Me

I created this blog to keep track of my work outs. Sometimes I may post activities that doesn't seem like work outs to most people, but really does feel like exercise. If you need some inspiration, and encouragement, and this blog seems to hit the spot for you, please follow me. Perhaps you can get some ideas from my blog as well.

I have a second degree black belt and over 17 years (since April 1995) of experience in a martial arts style called Kajukenbo. I was promoted to first degree black belt in December 2006 and to second degree black belt in December 2009. I don't really teach, but I am open to teach to anyone who is truly interested in learning and is open-minded about learning from someone who doesn't have any real teaching experience. I still currently attend training/practice as a student. I have never tried any other styles, so I've basically been with the same one.

I have been running since I was 11 years old, however, I started getting serious about running in 2002 and ran my first half marathon in 2007. I have done eight half marathons (all local), nine 10K races and on 15k race since 2007.

Running and martial arts are the "sports" that I enjoy the most and what I'm most passionate about. I don't know which is the greater accomplishment, but running my first half marathon and getting my black belt are both great accomplishments to me.
