I did this route that I hadn't done in a few months. The hill had a 9 % grade. I did this route in March until I discovered an 11% grade hill (I would go up the 11% grade hill first and then come down the 9% grade hill). The first few times that I went up this hill with a 9% grade, I struggled to get to the top. It took me a few rides to finally make it to the top without stopping. I did pretty good this morning and I didn't stop at all. I made it to the top without stopping. I did stop at the top for a water break, but that was all. I probably would have done okay going up the hill with an 11% grade, but I'm not quite mentally ready for it. Maybe in a few weeks? Maybe sooner than later? I just wanted to a hill with a 9% grade because I was curious how long it would take me to get to the top and how many times I would have to stop on the way. My LogYourRun account is being wonky right now, so I can't check my cycling history to compare my rides.
I'm donating blood tomorrow, so the only exercise that I'm doing is walking my dogs.
